I couldn't have asked for a better location, with its central position on the mainland, allowing for easy access to explore the surrounding islands. The well-equipped property had everything I needed, ensuring a convenient and enjoyable stay. The peaceful atmosphere of the lovely location added to the overall relaxation. I especially appreciated the warm welcome from Evelyn, the owner, who went out of her way to make my stay memorable. The thoughtful gesture of a welcome basket filled with local produce was a delightful surprise. Our Christmas stay at this accommodation was very enjoyable. First of all, we loved the peaceful location, away from the main road, and the stunning views of the sea. It was a great spot for birdwatching enthusiasts like us. the property was modern, well-heated, and had a good wifi connection, which was perfect for relaxing and staying connected during our holiday.

The small size of the main bedroom, although the single bedroom provided some extra space for dressing. Another minor inconvenience was the cluttered kitchen, which made it a bit difficult to move around.

We had a fantastic stay at a lovely cottage near Stromness. The host was incredibly welcoming, even providing us with milk, Orkney cheese and oat biscuits upon arrival. The cottage was spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated. The views from the sitting room and main bedroom were breathtaking, and the large garden area was a bonus. We were pleasantly surprised by the well-equipped kitchen and the thoughtful extras like games, books, and DVDs. The location was perfect for exploring Stromness and nearby attractions, and the owner Evelyn was friendly and personable. We couldn't have asked for a better experience.

Good shower with hot water. Comfortable living room with quality furniture & TV. Peaceful location near the sea with bird life. Perfect for couples, single bedroom for dressing. Modern, well-heated cottage with good wifi. Exceeded expectations with spacious & fresh decor, fabulous views. Fully equipped with extras like dishwasher tablets & coffee maker. Friendly & accommodating host. Convenient location near ferry & shops. Beautiful view, quiet surroundings.

We recently stayed at a holiday home and had a wonderful experience. the host, Evelyn, was very accommodating, even though we arrived late due to a delayed ferry. the location of the property was stunning, with beautiful views of the nearby sea and wildlife like pheasants walking on the lawn. the cottage itself was well equipped and cozy, with modern amenities. We were welcomed with a lovely hamper of local goodies, including Orkney milk and cheddar cheese. it was a fantastic place to stay and I would highly recommend Howe Holiday Homes for a relaxing and enjoyable vacation. Cons: Nothing for me 😊.

Couldn't stay longer.

The location of the holiday home was inconvenient as it was not on the bus route, making it difficult to access without a car. there were no frying pans provided in the kitchen, limiting the ability to cook meals. the continuous beeping of the smoke alarm, even after being attended to, disturbed my sleep.

The hostess was obliging and helpful, providing ample towels and ensuring the home had background storage heaters for evening comfort. these conveniences did not outweigh the inconveniences of the location and lack of essential kitchenware for a light sleeper like myself.
